Apple released the public version of iOS 10.3.1 unexpectedly. The update brings iOS 10.3 support for devices running 32-bit processor such as iPhone 5 and 5c. Apple iPhone iOS 10.3 was released a week back and iPhone 5, 5c users faced issues with the software upgrade given the devices run on older 32-bit processor. 

“iOS 10.3.1 introduces new features including the ability to locate AirPods using Find My iPhone and more ways to use Siri with payment, ride booking and carmaker apps,” the update reads. Apple Security updates page lists that iOS 10.3.1 is available for iPhone 5 and later, iPad 4th generation and later as well as iPod touch 6th generation and later.

For Apple, the release of iOS 10.3.1 is so unusual, because Apple didn’t give us any related announcement. Before Apple released iOS 10.3, Apple canceled iPhone 5 and iPhone 5c iOS 10.3 OTA upgrade, the two devices users can only upgrade to the new system via iTunes or Mac. It is reported that this problem is caused by hardware. But now iPhone 5 and iPhone 5c are supported to upgrade to iOS 10.3 via OTA.

The most important feature of iOS 10.3 is the Apple File System, this system file can optimize iPhone’s storage space. It can add more spaces for your iDevice to some extent.
